ONE OF A KIND SHOW

What an experience! We met some wonderful people, and truly felt the excitement of the crowds walking the brighly covered purple carpet during the 5 days of the show. The other rising stars were so supportive and here are some links to their websites and blogs, please check them out!

Another great show at Proof Studio Gallery in the Distillery District!
This was the second year for Rabbit or Fish to participate in the annual Chinese New Year themed show. The best part of this international show is that you are asked to submit 5 copies of the edition and at the end of the show all the prints are swapped with the other printmakers.
A great way to build up our print collection!

New Work in Progress

Assembly time for Pam!

We are very excited to be putting together a new series that is focusing on bold colours, more layers of paper and thread and combinations of printing techniques.

Here are some bits and pieces in progress. The two little bears on the left are lithographic plates. We prefer to use Pronto Plates because they are non toxic and we can print them on our intaglio press. They are amazing to experiment with because they are faster to work on than a litho stone.

Here is Lydia working on a plastic plate with a dremel. This is how we make all of our drypoint plates. We love the plastic plates because they make sharp lines and wipe completely clean of platetone.

Big News for Rabbit or Fish ...
we will be exhibiting at the Spring One of a Kind Show and Sale this year!!

We promise to keep you posted on the details :)

Rabbit or Fish is part of a great show right now at Proof Studio Gallery in the Distillery District of Toronto.

The show is part of a printmaking symposium that took place this past weekend. The theme of the exhibition is revealing the matrix of a variety of printmaking techniques. They have chosen a wide range of printing techniques and are displaying these plates along side the finished prints. We are showing a pronto plate based print called Hide-a-way.

The show is scheduled until November 1st.

If you make it over let us know what you think!
