We are very excited to be putting together a new series that is focusing on bold colours, more layers of paper and thread and combinations of printing techniques.
Here are some bits and pieces in progress. The two little bears on the left are lithographic plates. We prefer to use Pronto Plates because they are non toxic and we can print them on our intaglio press. They are amazing to experiment with because they are faster to work on than a litho stone.
Here is Lydia working on a plastic plate with a dremel. This is how we make all of our drypoint plates. We love the plastic plates because they make sharp lines and wipe completely clean of platetone.
